The BioSonic US200 Ultrasonic Scaler is a magnetostrictive electrical-powered ultrasonic scaler intended for use during all general supra and subgingival scaling, and routine prophylaxis procedures, as well as periodontal therapy. • Can accept both 25 and 30kHz inserts from the BioSonic brand as well as competitors and automatically detects which insert is in-use so that no switch is needed on the unit. • Activation of the scaler and the setting of the output mode in normal vs. turbo are controlled by the operator via the foot pedal. • The cooling water is delivered either from a pressurized bottle, an internal diaphragm pump, or directly from the water supply network. • Water flow is controlled separately from the power. • Outer handpiece sheath can be removed from the hand piece for the purpose of cleaning and sterilization
